Russia and Turkey are working together constructively on resolving the Syrian civil war, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Thursday.
Speaking at a weekly briefing, Zakharova said the differences between Russia and Turkey on the issue "cannot be solved in a single day because these are significant disagreements, substantial issues."
"Work on this is underway and we value it as positive and constructive," she added, in the wake of a meeting earlier this month between President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Russian President Vladimir Putin in a step for rapprochement after the crisis that ensued last November after Turkey shot down a Russian warplane.
Separately on Twitter, she said: "We're concerned by ongoing instability in southeastern Turkey," commenting a recent spate of attacks in that region.
