Turkish construction giant Enka to build 2 power plants in Iraq for $4.5 bln

The Iraqi Central Government and Turkish construction company Enka made a deal to build two natural gas combined cycle plants in Baghdad and Sulaymaniyah that are expected to provide 3,000 megawatts of power.
The deal only covers the construction works of the plants and the estimated project value would is to be around 4.5 billion USD.
Enka currently undertakes four other construction projects in Northern Iraq.
