Organized by the World Federation of Journalists in collaboration with Anadolu Agency (AA) as the global communication partner, the Turkic World Documentary Film Festival and Competition will feature selections from noteworthy films in Adana. Held among seven Turkic republics, autonomous regions and related communities, the festival has received applications from 60 films from 16 countries. The pre-selection committee decreased the number of films to 12 after watching all of the candidates. The film selection will be screened at Adana Metropolitan Municipality Culture and Arts Center at 4 .p.m. on Sept. 24. The selected films will be presented with their awards at the ceremony, which will be organized in Istanbul on Oct. 7-8 while the screenings will be held in Niğde on Oct. 17-18 in memory of Sergeant Ömer Halisdemir; in Cyprus on Oct. 21-22; in Baku on Oct. 27-28; and in Kazakhstan on Nov. 4-5.
