Yuri Honing, who has been labeled "one of the most creative and bold saxophonist of our times" by the Times Magazine, is coming to Istanbul bringing with him his acoustic quartet to promote their new album "Desire." Honing is a star saxophonist from the Netherlands and has given concerts in more than 90 countries, amassing a substantial discography over his career. Honing, who has collaborated with important musicians such as Pat Metheny, Charlie Haden, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Ibrahim Malooff, Craig Taborn and Paul Bley, won the Edison Jazz Award in 2001 and Boy Edgar Award in 2012. Honing created a unique style by blending jazz, pop, and Western musical traditions and has headlined some of the most prominent music festivals in Europe, Asia and South America. He comes to Borusan Music House with his quartet tomorrow to perform the most popular songs from their latest album "Desire."
