Legal proceedings for credit card debtors on the rise

Legal proceedings have been initiated against 384,000 people concerning either consumer loans or credit card debts accrued within the first three months of 2015, according to the "Nonperforming Consumer Loans and Credit Card Holders" report of The Banks Association of Turkey's Risk Center.
The total number of people with bad consumer loan or credit card debts has increased by 7 percent when compared to the same term last year.
The legal proceedings initiated against individuals with personal credit card debts increased by 13 percent to 291,000 in the same period.
