Fair gathers companies that help create accessible living for the disabled

Organized for the ninth consecutive year, the Accessible Living Fair (Eyaf Expo) kicked off yesterday at the Istanbul Fair Center in Yeşilköy. The fair, which will remain open until Dec. 4, has brought more than 170 companies from 31 countries together with a total of 9,400 visitors so far. The fair offers visitors a wide variety of products related to caring for the disabled, elderly and people in need of daily assistance. It is also a social platform bringing concrete solutions for the problems faced by disabled people every day. The fair offers a wide range of products in different categories, from prostheses to security systems as well as home, bath products and hobby tools.

Eyaf Expo is an event to gather the latest technology, designed to ease the lives of disabled people, under the same roof. This year, visitors will have a chance to test Android's cellphone and ballot machine exclusively created to aid the blind, a robotic-walking machine and vehicle adaption devices that make it possible for the physically disabled to drive.

In addition to the fair, Eyaf Expo is also hosting the 3rd Accessible Career Days, an event that will feature the Human Resource departments of the 30 biggest companies in Turkey, providing an opportunity for unemployed disabled people to be interviewed by companies.
