Abigail Dapron, an American missionary in South Africa, has sparked outrage with her "Syrian refugee costume" photo for halloween.
In the Instagram post, Dapron wrote on along with the image "Perks of having Saudi raised besties ;) #hijabmaster #weloveourrefugeefriends #jesuslovestherefugees #jesuswasarefugee."
The undated image, which was widely shared on social media, was described as "racist" and "insensitive" by commentators.

Below are some reactions to her refugee outfit.
Just saw pic of someone dressed as a Syrian refugee for Halloween. Why would you do that?? They are suffering but yet you are mocking them.— Amneh Jafari (@AmnehJafari) November 1, 2015
