A gunman was detained by police on Tuesday after he fired his pump action rifle on a building belonging to the Justice Ministry in the capital Ankara.

Turkish media reported that the suspect, identified as Kadir Y., 30, was a disgruntled electrician from the central city of Kırşehir and had no connection with any terrorist organization.

No one was injured in the shooting. The building is not the headquarters of the ministry but serves as additional offices for various ministerial services.
