A comprehensive exhibition will gather wooden, digital and cardboardreplicas and sculptures of well-known stage decorations and actors of Istanbul City Theaters. To mark the centenary of Istanbul City Theaters, the exhibition will display wooden replicas of stage decorations used in "Lüküs Hayat" (Luxury Life), "Çürük Temel," "Karagöz" (Shadow Play) and "Ortaoyunu" (a traditional Turkish play). A special section will be allocated to Muhsin Ertuğrul, who ran the Ottoman Imperial Darüldebayi Theater, later renamed Istanbul City Theaters. Aside from digital materials and photographs, silicone sculptures of renowned actors will be made by professional sculptors with at least five years of experience who graduated from various universities' departments of fine arts. The exhibition will reflect the historical journey of City Theaters from the past to the present, while honoring actors, plays and stage staff - all of which formed the basis of city theaters. A replica of a 20-seat capacity theater hall will be created along with workshops where stage decorations are prepared. The venue of the exhibition is not yet set, but it is expected to take place in a central location.
