A suspected suicide bomber from the Daesh terrorist organization killed 25 people in south-western Pakistan on Friday in an attack targeting the deputy chairman of the country's Senate, police said.
Senator Ghafoor Haidari was injured along with around 50 other people in the bombing that hit his convoy in the area of Mastung in Balochistan province, police official Imdad Ali told DPA.
Balochistan, which shares borders with both Afghanistan and Iran, is Pakistan's most volatile province.
