Turkey's TAV Airports' finance vice president and chief financial officer, Burcu Geriş, has been selected to be a part of the Forum of Young Global Leaders, an initiative of the World Economic Forum (WEF), the company said on Tuesday. "I am grateful to be working within such an organization with humanitarian values. As part of the Young Global Leaders community, I'm excited to share experiences with the next generation of world leaders, and use this opportunity to further my efforts to create positive change," Geriş said in a statement by TAV Airports. According to the statement, the WEF announced 187 people from 62 countries have been chosen as Young Global Leaders. "The Young Global leaders is made up of leaders under 40 years of age, from academia, the business and art worlds, nongovernmental organizations and politics," the statement said. The statement also noted that 18 outstanding figures from Turkey had been included in the program since it began in 2004.
