New web portal launced to count production population

Science, Industry and Technology Minister Fikri Işık announced the details of the "Turkish Industry Strategy Document: 2015-2018" and the newly-established "Lonca Industry Web Portal," which will offer access to all businesses operating in Turkey and their products.

Işık said entrepreneurs, researchers, importers and exporters often request information from the ministry about what products are produced by which company and where. He said the Lonca Industry Web Portal - accessible at: www.lonca.gov.tr - which will be the new data source for domestic and international investors as well as researchers, began rendering service yesterday. Highlighting that people will be able to access information about hundreds of thousands of industrial companies and their products with a single click, Işık said, "The products of the companies operating in 29 different industrial sectors and their production sites will be easily accessible thanks to the Lonca Industry Web Portal." The web portal is also available in English. Users can find information by searching according to company and product name, as well as by address. Işık said the portal will contribute to both local and international trade. Moreover, there are currently more than 126,000 micro, small, medium and large enterprises registered on the portal.
