Ankara Esenboğa Airport's TAV Airport Corporation has begun hosting weekly Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) flights to Stockholm. According to a TAV Airports Corporation announcement, the Stockholm plane was greeted with flowers by TAV Esenboğa representatives upon its arrival at 10:15 a.m. TAV Esenboğa General Manager Nuray Demirer said there are direct flights to 36 domestic and 23 international destinations from Esenboğa Airport in Ankara, and said they are pleased to have begun Scandinavian Airlines' Stockholm flights following the start of Copenhagen flights from Esenboğa in June. Demirer said that they will continue adding new destinations in order to provide a more diverse selection of direct flights to passengers. SAS will conduct flights between Stockholm and Ankara every Thursday. Esenboğa Airport hosted 82,239 flights and more than 11 million passengers in 2014.
