The net profit of the Turkish banking sector rose 6 percent in 2015 compared to the previous year to TL 26.1 billion ($8.7 billion).
According to 2015 data from the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency, the credit volume of the sector reached TL 1.5 trillion with an increase of 20 percent.
The total assets of the sector rose 18.2 percent to TL 2.4 trillion while the capital adequacy ratio of banks reduced to 15.56 from 16.28 percent in 2014.
