The manager of the Gaza Industrial Zone in Palestine, Tarık Zağrab announced that the soft drink giant Coca-Cola is planning on opening a new factory in Gaza.
Zağrab said that the factory will be a part of the company's major economic projects to be implemented in Gaza, however; he didn't provide any further information regarding the factory. Moreover, it was noted by sources from the Gaza Border Gates Administration that Israel has allowed entry for the materials to be used in the construction and preparations of the factory in Gaza.
The goods and materials have entered into the region through the Kerm Ebu Salim Border Gate. Coca-Cola's new factory is expected to cost around $20 million and will offer job opportunities to more than a thousand Palestinians.
