Turkish Cargo sees 46.8 pct growth in Chinese market

Turkish Cargo, one of the fastest growing air cargo brands in the world and serving 120 countries, continues to successfully pursue the strong growth strategy that it has been pursuing for the last decade and to increase its share in the world air cargo market. The company grew 46.8 percent in the Chinese market in first half of this year, according to WorldACD data, which provides market data on air cargo.

Also, Turkish Cargo, which has reinforced its growth momentum with regional achievements as well, has been named the third largest cargo company linking Pakistan, Poland and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the fifth one connecting Austria, Bangladesh, Egypt and Finland to the rest of the world.

As of the end of June 2017, Turkish Cargo achieved an increase of 24.4 percent in income and 26.1 percent in the cargo it carried compared to the same period of the previous year. It continues its rapid and permanent growth.

Turkish Cargo, which has opened seven new service points in the past two months, increased its cargo flight points to 72 at the end of the first half of 2017 from 55 in early 2016. Turkish Cargo, which has formed a wide corridor from Asia to Africa and from Europe to Latin America with its new lines, completed the first half of 2017 with great success.

Turkish Cargo supported the large flight network it built by strengthening the aircraft fleet and made a name for itself in the international market with two Boeing 747-400F cargo aircraft that it added to its fleet. Thanks to the increase in the number of cargo flights and the concomitant more efficient use of the increased capacity, the company increased its capacity occupancy rates by 11 points.

According to WorldACD data for June 2017, Turkish Cargo ranked among the top 10 international air cargo carriers with the high growth performance it displays.
