Turkey's business confidence indices fell in March, according to Turkish Statistical Institute's (TÜİK) statement on Wednesday.
Seasonally adjusted confidence index for the services sector decreased by 0.7 percent from 101.96 to 101.25 in March.
The business situation index, demand-turnover index and demand-turnover expectation index for the services sector respectively decreased by 2 percent, 0.1 percent and 0.1 percent.
Seasonally adjusted confidence index for retail trade also decreased by 0.4 percent in March, falling from 103.40 to 102.97. The decrease in construction confidence index was the highest of the three sectors with a 1.33 percent decrease, falling from 85 to 83.67.
The current volume of stock index of the retail sector increased by 2.9 percent, while business activity-sales and business activity-sales expectation indices respectively decreased by 1.9 percent and 2.1 percent.
The current overall order books and total employment expectation indices decreased by 1.4 percent and 1.7 percent.
Sectoral confidence indexes can take a value between 0 and 200 and indicate an optimistic outlook when the index is above 100, but a pessimistic outlook below 100.
