Founded in 2012, the Rights and Justice Party (HAP) promotes itself as a center party. In February 2015, HAP conducted talks to merge with the Mother Party (Ana Parti) founded by former President Turgut Özal’s (founder of Motherland Party – ANAP) son Ahmet Özal, but these proved to be unsuccessful.
