The front page of Britain's second most circulated newspaper was widely slammed by politicians and readers for being sexist as it diverted the attention from one of the country's most important issues to the legs of the two female leaders of the U.K.
It's 2017. This sexism must be consigned to history. Shame on the Daily Mail. pic.twitter.com/V3RpFSgfnO

The headline of Daily Mail's Tuesday edition read: "Never mind Brexit, who won Legs-it!" The front page also showed a picture, in which U.K. Prime Minister Theresa May and Scotland's First Minister Nicola Sturgeon sit during their meeting on Brexit and a possible referendum on Scottish independence in Glasgow, Scotland on Monday.
The cover prompted widespread criticism, and many people took to the social media, condemning the front page for being "sexist," "moronic," or "backwards."
The 1950s called and asked for their headline back.#everydaysexism https://t.co/s1W1XfhrhN
