Artist Ertan Mutlu's watercolor works are being exhibited until March 30 at the Ramada Istanbul Asia Hotel, supported by contributions from the Uran Foundation under the title of "Müstesna Şehrin, İstanbul Hali" (Istanbul State of the Exceptional City). The exhibition launched on March 20. Although Mutlu has been producing art with different materials and techniques, he is strongly engaged in watercolor techniques. He mostly uses Istanbul, where he was born and raised, as the subject of his works. As he is interested in Istanbul's history, he has occasionally been inspired by traditional arts as well as having performed them. His works feature Istanbul's historical places, streets, architecture, ferries and social life, and while he applies his unique color pallet to his works, he gives ultimate attention to the mystical atmosphere of the city. Occasionally, he enriches his authentic approach to perspective with panoramic views. The exhibition venue also showcases almost 230 oil paintings and hosts different exhibitions throughout the year.
