Organized every year by the Kadir Has University Faculty of Communications, the fourth International Conference on Conflict, Terrorism and Society focusing on the theme "Framing Violence: Borders, Conflicts and Identities" will take place on April 7 and April 8 at Kadir Has University's Cibali Campus. Under the leadership of Professor Banu Baybars Hawks, the Chair of the university's Department of Public Relations, will offer debates on constantly changing borders and the understanding of identity as well as conflict caused by these elements. The fourth edition of the International Conference on Conflict will host several panel sessions on recent and frequent conflicts that are impacted by borders and identities as well as the concepts of identity and borders that underlie many problems, from the migrations to North America and Europe, to the disputes in the Middle East and Africa. The conference will also center on the effects of political statements, media and other communication mediums on our approach to these conflicts. The conference will welcome De Monfort University media and politics professor Stuart Pierce - the writer of the acclaimed book "Protest, Media and Culture" - as a speaker, and will host many international and Turkish academics specialized in international relations, media and political communication.
