Aiming at raising awareness about schizophrenia the exhibition titled "Do Not Turn a Blind Eye: Schizophrenia from Prehistoric Times to the Present" will run from Oct. 16-25 in Istanbul and from Nov. 5-15 in Ankara. The exhibition offers deep insight into schizophrenia by displaying the how mental illnesses have been diagnosed and treated since ancient times, the reactions varying between eras and societies, and scientists and doctors as the main actors of mental health research and treatment. The innovative exhibition will be held at the Military Museum in Harbiye and at Ankara Cermodern. A first in Turkish museums, the content will be presented in 3-D boxes with striking audio-visual effects and animations created by experts.
