Artist and academician Doğan Arslan's solo exhibition "Graphics and Comedy" is displayed at Beyoğlu Caricature and Comedy Center until Dec. 30. Organized with the contributions of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, the exhibition features various award winning works by Arslan. The artist, who prefers to present the universal themes via a minimalist sense of art, mostly focuses on political, social and cultural themes. Artist and academician Arslan states that he loves to work with the tools that are approved by "comedy with lines." In contrast to traditional caricaturists, Arslan tries to make comedy with shapes, form, color, illustration and photo-collages due to the graphics education he received.
