Famous theater adaptations take center stage in Ankara

The theatrical stages in Ankara are heating up as the year comes to a close. Saturday, the famous classic "Animal Farm," written by George Orwell, will take center stage. Translated into Turkish by Özge Kayakutlu, the adaptation of "Animal Farm" will be staged tomorrow, Dec. 25 and Dec. 27 on the Akün stage in Ankara. Other theater adaptations will also grace the stage, including "Uncle Vanya" by Anton Chekhov on Dec.29 and Dec. 30. Translated into Turkish by Ataol Behramoğlu, the play will be directed by Erhan Gökgücü. Today and tomorrow, the Turkish production of "Two Lost in a Dirty Night" will be featured on the Altındağ stage, Directed and written by Pervin Ünalp, the stage play "A Day at the Hair Dresser" will be hosted on Dec. 29 and 30 on the same stage. William Shakespeare's masterpiece tragedy "Macbeth" will come alive on the Ankara stage on Dec. 27 and 29 at the Ankara Grand Theater.
