The ŞekerbankAçıkekran Yeni Medya Art Gallery is hosting Sibel Kocakaya and Koja Coyote's new exhibition "In and Out." Consisting of video installations by the two artists that reveal the concept of place, "In and Out" is open until Oct. 15. As a part of the exhibition, Kocakaya's video work "Right Here, Right Now" will be screened at nine branches of Şekerbank all over Turkey via Açıkekran Yeni Media Art Gallery, which is the only art platform in Turkey focusing on Turkey's new media and video. After getting her master's degree from Marmara University's Faculty of Fine Arts, Kocakaya began to focus on her video works and study concepts such as time and place by using video. Coyote's works are featured in solo and group exhibitions and displayed in different workshops. Kocakaya and Coyote, who draw attention to the differences between existing and being lost, will display works titled "Right Here, Right Now," "Rood, Sound," "Without Comment" and "Under the Veil." The selection, which is curated by Ali Akay, makes references to the 20th century via off-voices and humming. The exhibition aims to point out the dilemma between motion and numbness. The viewer will have the chance to question the ambiguity of the meaning of life.
