Founded by businessmen who lead the Turkish economy, the C Majör İş'ten Sesler (Voices from the Business World) Chorus will be performing a concert for Istanbul Down Syndrome Association on Monday, May 15, at the Istanbul Lütfi Kırdar International Congress and Exhibition Hall. The chorus formed of 60 people from the business world will be accompanied by Turkish artists Alişan, Özgün and Hatice as guests.
The chorus was established in 2016 by leaders of the business world to motivate society and create awareness about the issues facing children and young people, and build a healthier society for the future. They first performed on Nov. 30, 2016 at Cemal Reşit Rey Concert Hall with the coordination of the International Disability Foundation. The proceeds of the concert were donated to the Prime Ministry July 15 Solidarity Campaign to benefit the disabled and veterans. This will be the second performance by the chorus, and all proceeds will be donated to Istanbul Down Syndrome Association. The 60-strong chorus will perform with a 45-player symphony orchestra and sing 25 of the most popular songs in classical Turkish music. The concert will offer the chance to enjoy music and help those in need at the same time. Tickets can be purchased from Istanbul Down Syndrome Association.
