Fashion designers, bloggers and professionals gather at the latest İzmir Fashion Week taking place until the end of today at İzmir Arena. Taking off on Wednesday evening, the fashion week program covers catwalk shows, panel sessions, workshops as well as concerts and DJ parties. The opening catwalk show featured attire designed by the graduates of İzmir Economy University Fashion and Textile Design Department. Young fashion designers used Oscar Wilde's story "Rose and the Nightingale" as inspiration for their work. Nine catwalk shows are taking place at the event. Among attending designers and brands are Nazlı Terzioğlu, Günce Küçük, Spazio, Murat Acar, Yiğit Eryendi and İzmir's Advanced Technical School for Girls. All catwalk shows take place from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The event is organized by the Association of Aegean Clothing Industrialist (EGSD) and the Union of Aegean Exporters (EİB).
