Borsa Istanbul, global stocks drop sharply over dollar fears

The Borsa Istanbul 100 Index (BIST 100) had decreased by 3.31 percent on Monday, along with other prominent stock exchange indexes, amid the U.S. dollar's global strengthening trend.
The index had started the opening session with 80,820.3 points and ended the day with 77,977.48 points due to fears about the dollar and concerns regarding economy administration, which was at the lowest level since November 2014
Meanwhile, British FTSE100, German DAX, French CAC40, Italian ITA40 Spanish IBEX 35, Portuguese PSI20, Dutch AEX, American Dow Jones and SP500 and Japanese Nikkei indexes had respective decreases of 1.83, 0.51, 0.82, 1.13, 1.35, 2.08, 0.78, 1.47, 1.36 and 0.95 percent.
