The Vehbi Koç Foundation's Sadberk Hanım Museum continues a project started back in 2014 - "To the Museum! Discover, Learn, Have Fun!" to present the cultural beauties of Turkey to children via a new education program. The program will host educational workshops every Thursday and Friday in which schoolchildren are welcomed and can visit the museum and attend workshops accompanied by museum trainer Gökçe Oflu.
The iPad application, "Art History and Archaeology" books, published within the scope of the main project in 2014 will be offered to children in the new season. The "To the Museum" iPad application, prepared in Turkish and English, can be downloaded from the App Store for free.
The workshops create a suitable environment to observe and discover artworks and include free activities, such as Q&As, writing, drawing, drama, free drawing, etc. that enable critical thinking and discussion. The weekday school group activities are also open for individuals on Saturdays by reservation.
The educational set prepared by art history expert İdil Zanbak issued by the museum as three books in 2014, "Art History and Archaeology," aims to teach children about art and history via entertainment. The teacher's booklet in the set provides information for teachers about works displayed in the museum.
