A passenger stabbed the driver of a metrobus after a quarrel on Thursday, in Şirinevler stop, Istanbul media outlets have reported.
The attacker ran away from the scene, and the wounded driver was taken to a hospital.
Metrobus service stopped for a short time in the Avcılar direction and resumed when other passengers were taken to another bus.
Istanbul's metrobus is a 50 km-long (31.1 miles) rapid bus transit route with 45 stations which follows the city's ring-road via Avcılar, Zincirlikuyu and the Bosphorus Bridge to Söğütlüçeşme through dedicated bus lanes. Some 700 thousand passengers use the line everyday.
