The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality has introduced a bike rental scheme for commuters frustrated with the city's traffic.
Previously introduced on the city's Asian side, the bike renting scheme was launched Thursday for the European side between the districts of Florya and Yeşilköy.
Users can pick up and leave bicycles at stations deployed across the two districts after renting them either by credit card or a one-time subscription, relieving them of the task of taking their own bicycles around the crowded city.
