A study conducted by American scientists revealed that drinking three glasses of milk a day could reduce the risk of dementia and prevent brain cell loss. The scientist emphasized that the antioxidant in milk, called glutathione, can stave off dementia as well as diseases such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's. Stating that glutathione reduces the damage to the brain cells caused by free radicals, Debra Sullivan, one of the scientists conducted the study, said: "We have long thought of milk as being very important for your bones and very important for your muscles. This study suggests that it could be important for your brain as well."
