Initiated by Serdar Anuştekin as a research project in 2010, Turkey's first Kurdish language search engine, Serketin, is up and running. Anuştekin, the site administrator, said that the search engine aims to introduce all languages and cultures of Turkey. He said that Serketin means "to succeed" in Kurdish. He said that they want to introduce all the beauty of Turkey to the world, explaining that: "We started this project so that people could speak in their own language and introduce their own culture. Now, our site is in almost all languages. We have a translation engine similar to Google Translate. However, we want to include other languages spoken in Turkey like the Laz language, Zazaki spoken by Zaza Kurds, and Armenian. We want to broadcast in all these languages from one platform." He said that visitors from 10 different countries enter their site frequently and he expects support from Turkish citizens.
