15-year-old Motorcyclist Asrın Rodi Pak, who has won all of the 294 supermoto and motocross races in which he has participated, wants to be the fastest racer in the world. Pak was introduced to motor sports at the age of four and began practicing with the help of his mother. At the age of 7 he started to participate in official races both in Turkey and around the world. He has won 294 cups so far despite his young age. In a statement he made to an Anadolu Agency (AA) correspondent, the high school student said he finished first in over 280 official races and now aims to be the fastest racer in the world. Saying that he is also attending carting races apart from supermoto and motocross races, Pak continued, "Motorcycles and speed are my passions. I can say that I basically grew up on a motorcycle." Pak practices every day during the summer and three times a week in the winter. "I feel anxious when I do not ride my motorcycle. The cups that I have won so far are starters. I can also race in carting. I want to follow the footsteps of Turkish motorcyclist Kenan Sofuoğlu, the Supersport World Champion, and become the fastest rider in motorsports."
The racing prodigy, however, has complained about the lack of support to motorsports. Highlighting the importance of Uşak Municipality's supermoto and motocross racetracks in his career, Pak said, "Unfortunately, we do not have sponsors. Motorsports are highly expensive. Participating in a race costs approximately TL 5,000 ($1,723). I want people to support me. I am able to attend domestic and international races thanks to the Uşak Municipality." Pak also added that his mother had to sell her car and one of Pak's motorcycles to participate in this year's races. Pak talked about the joy he experiences when he rides his motorcycle and said anyone who wants to be a racer should start this sport at a very early age, adding that parents should support their children. Saying that he aims to be the world champion in motocross and supermoto, he stated motorsports strengthen people physically and it requires discipline. "I want to race in the World Supermoto Championship in the near future. I have already begun practicing. It must be a thrilling experience to be the fastest racer in the world," said Pak. Pak designs his motorcycle helmets and costumes. He likes painting and he is also at the top of his high school class. He said his success in motorsports helps him be a successful student at school.
