A father and mother in the district of Soma in Turkey's western Manisa province made their daughter's dream come true by organizing her a very own symbolic wedding.
Yasemin Erarslan, who has down syndrome, had long dreamt of wearing a white wedding.
Her father Kudret Erarslan and mother Aynur Erarslan decided to throw her a wedding to make her bridal dreams come true.
Yasemin had the traditional Turkish henna applying ceremony and danced the night away as she wore her wedding dress with pride and a bright smile to match.
She even had her first dance with her father and cut her 5-tier wedding cake with a sword.
Then all the guests danced the traditional halay.
Yasemin, who is being schooled by the Soma Spastic Children Association also performed a dance routine with her Caucasian Dance Team Teacher Murat Dolu.
They got a standing ovation and Yasemin thanked all her guests for the lovely wedding.
Her mother said that since Yasemin was a little child, she had always played with net curtains trying to look like a bride. "The way my daughter looked at a bride [with envy], really upset me. I wanted to fullfill her dreams. This was her only dream," she said.
