The "Karaman Birds" exhibition, sponsored as a social responsibility project by Bulgur production company Duru Bulgur, will open at Caddebostan Cultural Center on May 30.
The revenue from the exhibition, which will continue until June 5, will be donated to Istanbul Karaman Foundation to assist with education expenses for students in need. The exhibition features a total of 62 bird photographs taken by photography artist Kürşat Akın, one of the most important bird watchers in Turkey. While shedding light on bird species that are on the verge of extinction, the "Karaman Birds" exhibition also draws attention to the bird diversity in Karaman.
The exhibition includes photographs of various birds in the region, from eagles living on high cliffs, to windhovers living on rooftops. The photographs displayed in the exhibition are collected in a recently published book, which features striking information on the birds.
