A group of researchers at İzmir Economy University has developed an app called "Shopshape" that helps users find clothes based on their body shape. The app provides a personal and virtual shopping experience. Associate Professor Arzu Vuruşkan of İzmir Economy University said that a great number of women shop online. "The app is a system that gets information on users' design choices and body shape, and recommends the ideal outfits," she said. Vuruşkan said that there are a number of platforms on fashion and style around the world and they also search for good shopping experiences. "Many recommendations on these websites are based on statistical data. This is why our project is more original. The app offers a smart shopping experience and learns users' preferences with sizes," Vuruşkan said. The system currently has a design archive of 2,000 outfits. "Looking fit in an outfit is the most important thing. The app helps them find the ideal clothes and shorten their shopping time," she said.
