Step aboard a ferry and venture into some shops and relax. The "shopping" ferry sailing from Istanbul's Kartal Dock on the Asian side to the Princess' Islands is where you can shop on the sea. The large on-board shop sells women's, men's and children's clothes as well as accessories like bags and shoes. The outlet presents world-renowned brands to consumers at affordable prices.
A city-line ferry named Şehit Ahmet Deniz has been redesigned in line with its original structure to serve as a shopping ferry. Every month, the ferry will host events with different themes and is expected to remain in service for one month at present. A ferry journey from Kartal to the Princes' Islands takes about one and a half hours.
The ferry was previously in service at Beşiktaş Dock on the European side. Hüseyin Tanrıverdi, the Vapur Turnesi A.Ş.'s CEO, said, "A shopping ferry will introduce an authentic shopping experience to passengers. The project has started on the Asian side. We are planning to expand it in different cities with creative concepts." The shop inside the city-line ferry is open weekdays and weekends from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
