The world's most beautiful cats will be brought together in Istanbul on the occasion of a competition organized by the World Cat Federation (WCF). Led by the WCF, World Cat Show 2016 will be held this weekend at Doğa College located in Istanbul's Acıbadem neighborhood.
Awaited with great enthusiasm by animal lovers and cat owners each year, the said competition will present pleasant surprises to both participants and guests. Cat lovers will unite in Istanbul thanks to the World Cat Show 2016 organized in collaboration with Germany, Bulgaria and Turkey. Cat lovers from countries around the world and special cat species from Turkey will participate in the competition. For two days kittens and adult cats along with mono breeds such as British, Scottish and Persian will be introduced to the WCF's international judges.
The world's most beautiful cats will take the stage to win the first price in their categories. The world's known cat observers and judges Anneliese Hackmann (Germany), Alina Ingor (Bulgaria), Dieter Meister (Germany), David Meister (Germany), and their assistants Mehmet Emin Hocaoğlu (Turkey), Yasemin Hocaoğlu (Turkey) and Onur Sacık (Turkey) will select the world's most beautiful and special cats. The cats will try to win first price by taking the stage in ring competitions and the winners will be awarded with a family tree and a certificate.
The WCF was founded in 1988 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil by three clubs that were seeking more democratic and humane procedures in the cat fancy, more than other existing federations ever had. Right now the WCF consists of more than 540 clubs throughout the world, covering all continents including the United States.
