French authorities have initiated an unusual campaign to fund the exhibition of nearly 7,000 dinosaur bones that were excavated in the Charente region. In the initiative by Beaux-Arts d'Angouleme Museum and Paleocharente Association, people who want to give their names to the dinosaur bones can immortalize their names with a small donation of 30 euros that will be used for the exhibition of the bones in the museum.
The exhibition, which will be set up with the donations, is planned to open on May 20. The names of those who made donations to the museum will be featured with the bones throughout the exhibition.
Donors will also be given a certificate proving that the bones will be called by their names from then on. The French authorities announced that the campaign aims to support dinosaur-related research in the country.
