12-year-old leukemia patient gets dream visit from Galatasaray aces Muslera and Selçuk İnan

A dream came true for 12-year-old leukemia patient Cansu Demirduman when special guests came to visit her in the hospital—Galatasaray footballers Fernando Muslera and Selçuk Inan.

Demirduman has been undergoing treatment for leukemia for four months at Erciyes University Medical Faculty Oncology Hospital in Turkey's central Kayseri province.

Demirduman gets a hug from Galatasaray goalkeeper Fernando Muslera. (DHA Photo)After her biggest dream of meeting the Galatasaray players was made public by Doğan News Agency, Demirduman's wish went viral among Galatasaray fans on social media.

Posts with the hashtags #CansuHayalineKavussun and #GalatasarayCansuileBulussun were shared by hundreds of supporters who tagged the club's official account and coach Fatih Terim.

Team captains Selçuk and Muslera were quick to respond, making the trip to Kayseri to give Demirduman an autographed jersey, club gifts and some warm hugs.

Demirduman said she was overjoyed that her dream had come true.

Selçuk has played midfield for Galatasaray and the Turkish national team since May 2011. Uruguayan goalkeeper Muslera joined Galatasaray in July 2011.
