The winter rally organized by Eskisehir Automobile Sports Club (ESOK) with contributions of Bolu Municipality and Bolu Nature Sports and Offroad Club (TOSFED) will be held in Turkey's northwest Bolu province this year.
The event jointly organized by the city mayor Alaadin Yılmaz and the Automotive Sports Federation of Turkey (TOSFED)'s President Serkan Yazıcı will start Feb. 24.
The rally will host experienced competitors who will challenge each other on the trails between Lake Seben and the Kızık plateau.
"It has been a long time since a race was held in the winter, it will be a very different and enjoyable experience for the drivers. My biggest dream is for the winter rally will be a part of the European Rally Championship in 2020. This will contribute greatly to promote Bolu and its economy" Yazıcı said in a statement.
Bolu Mayor Yılmaz, who is preparing to host the winter rally said they are working to make Bolu a touristic, health and wellness and a sports city.
Bolu province is famous for its mountains, nature, hot springs and cuisine. Thousands of ski and snowboard lovers visit the city every year to experience the great ski resorts.
