Turkey’s President Erdoğan releases message for Nevruz, hopes it will bring peace

Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has released a message regarding Nevruz celebrations on Saturday, wished for Nevruz to become a means of strengthening brotherhood and a peaceful environment.

"Nevruz, as a festivity celebrated in a large geography for thousands of years, is the name of unity, solidarity and brotherhood symbolized through the awakening of the spring" Erdoğan said, pointing out to the will of the nation to build its future altogether.

Referencing to the anticipated disarmament call of PKK during Nevruz celebrations, "I believe that our hopes renewed with the spring will reach to the expected conclusion with Nevruz and will serve as a means for the opening of a new era ahead of us" Erdoğan said.

Meanwhile, from his official Twitter account, Erdoğan's message was issued in five languages, which includes Turkish, Kurdish, English, Arabic and Persian.

"I wish for this beautiful festival to bring peace and love mankind" he added, pointing out to the celebration of Nevruz as International Day of Nowruz by the United Nations since 2010.

At the end of his message, Erdoğan congratulated March 21 Nevruz Day of Turkish nation, along with whole humanity.
