Turkish politician Kamran Inan passes away at age 86

Turkish politican and a former minister, Kamran Inan, passed away on Monday at age 86.
Inan, born in Turkey's eastern Bitlis province, was a prominent politician, first elected as a member of the parliament in 1973. In 1987, he was elected as a member of the parliament at the Homeland (ANAP) Party.
He also had stood against former President Süleyman Demirel during as the Homeland Party candidate for presidency after former President Turgut Özal passed away in 1993.
Kamran Inan was known as a 'sayyid' for being a descendant of the Prophet Mohammad.
His funeral prayer will be held on Tuesday and he will be buried in his hometown, Bitlis.
