Vestel Iberia SL, which is a 100 percent indirect subsidiary of Turkish domestic appliance manufacturer Vestel, and Spain-based Telefonica de Espana S.A. (Telefonica) are engaged in talks to produce a new type of television. A statement released by Vestel via the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) said: "As a part of plans to produce a Movistar-brand television which includes Internet-based television solutions, Vestel İberia SL, a 100 percent direct subsidiary of our company, and Spain-based Telefonica de Espana S.A. (Telefonica) have carried out preliminary delivery containing samples and project-related talks are continuing between the parties." The details of the project have not yet been determined in the current phase. However, if an agreement is made, the televisions to be produced will be offered to Telefonica's customers via high-speed Internet services in Spain during a campaign. The televisions to be produced will be launched on Tuesday.
