The civil war that has been ongoing for the last four years in Syria has created a different economy for the country. Some firms have started private tours for fearless entrepreneurs and thrill-seeking tourists wanting to safely reach Aleppo or other cities. However, prices for such tours range from $2,000 to $10,000 according to the destination. Entrepreneurs aim to benefit from the extreme demand in Aleppo after the war concludes. Those wanting to travel to Aleppo first cross through Turkey's Cilvegözü border gate. After 2 kilometers, the passenger transfers to an armored Mercedes. Payments to either the opponents or Syrian government authorities are made at eight different points until Aleppo. Although accommodation in Aleppo is not recommended, safe hotel accommodations can be arranged in the city center. There are few companies that provide this service, and the owner of one of these companies, Cemal Alyamaç, said that there was great interest in the tours, especially from businessmen. "While we can provide a safe journey because we have been familiar with the area for so long, the risk still lies with the customer," Alyamaç said.
