Last night, a crescent moon fell right above the cross topping the steeple Hagia Triada Orthodox Church located on the city's popular İstiklal Street creating an image virtually representing a dialogue between civilizations.
In effect, the crescent, the symbol representing the Islamic civilization, and the Christian symbol of the cross met in the sky in Istanbul, the city of tolerance.
As the view became increasingly visible in the sky, citizens flocked to observe the marvel.
