Two new camps have been set up in the Gare Mountain, located near the highly Kurdish-populated Duhok district in Iraq. In addition, six new camps have been erected near the town of Ranya located near the border with Iran in Sulaymaniyah. The approximately 2,500 terrorists, who will be exiting Turkey's borders, will initially be accommodated in these camps. PKK members who are suffering from illnesses or exhaustion due to the winter base conditions will be able to receive treatment at these new camps once they have crossed over the border. Two of the eight new camps erected for the withdrawal process, also contain hospitals. Those who are suffering from more serious medical conditions will be able to receive treatment in Sulaymaniyah, Dohuk and Arbil.
THEY WILL NOT STAY LONG AT THE BORDER
Members of the PKK terrorist organization which will begin withdrawing from Turkish territories on May 8 will first cross from Uludere into the Haftanin region, in Zaho, Northern Iraq. Due to the fact that these regions are all situated along the border with Turkey, following a short transition period, these armed groups will be moving on to the more internal regions to settle into the camps there. While those PKK members who will be withdrawing will establish a base in the Soran region which is located near the border with Iran and is under Jalal Talabani's control, a portion of PKK leaders will remain in villages located along the skirts of the Qandil mountains. In their entirety, the total 7,000 PKK members will be distributed throughout 34 different camps.
