Ministry to host 240 foreign students at youth camp

The International Youth Camp, a project initiated by the Youth and Sports Ministry, will host 240 students from 12 countries in Trabzon between Aug. 31 and Sept. 10.
According to a statement released by the ministry, students from Albania, Bahrain, the UAE, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Qatar, Kuwait, Algeria, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Jordan and Macedonia are eligible to apply to attend the camp.
The ministry aims to bring together students who share cultural heritage to get to know each other, and share their experiences in order to build mutual trust.
Those who want to attend the free camp can apply via youthcamp@gsb.gov.tr by Aug. 15. The language of communication will be English. Students between the ages of 18 and 22, who have a proficiency in English and knowledge and curiosity about their own culture, history and social structure are eligible to apply. Students are asked to be friendly and be open to dialogue across cultures in order to partake in constructive discussions.
