Three people accused of stealing two racehorses in order to carry scrap metal were detained in the northwestern city of Kocaeli. Gendarmerie authorities had initiated an investigation into the theft of two racehorses, Miss Jeanne Darc and Mona, from a stud farm in the village of Ketenciler. Authorities reviewed local security camera footage and identified the culprits, detaining three suspects together with the horses. The suspects, who were sent to court for arraignment, admitted to stealing the horses so that they could transport the scrap metal they collected. The horses were also returned to their owners.
